Shadow Chancellor George Osborne has hit out at the Labour party for failing to deliver three key tasks in its pre-Budget report today.
Speaking at the House of Commons today, Mr Osborne said Chancellor Darling had three tasks – to restore confidence in Labour forecasts, produce a credible plan to deal with the debt crisis and deliver a real plan for growth. Osborne stated that Darling has delivered “no confidence, no credible plan and no growth”.
He added: “Why is it that every Labour Government that has ever been has taken us to the brink of bankruptcy. Your Government has inflicted on us the deepest recession in history.”
